After America, the Repsol Honda Team got back to Europe and today at Misano Adriatico, the well known circuit of the Italian Riviera, team mates Daniel Pedrosa and Andrea Dovizioso did not give any opportunity to the other rivals to rule the free practice of the San Marino GP.
Dani Pedrosa was the most shining star of the first day of action at the 12th seasonal appointment. Few laps were enough for Spaniard, who immediately found a positive rhythm which allowed him to clearly move away from the other challengers and reach the first position of the provisional starting grid thanks to the time of 1’34.772, with a 0.612s gap over the rest of the pack.
Today there was a lot of harmony between the Repsol Honda duo, in fact Andrea Dovizioso started his home GP with a very promising position to reach the podium on Sunday. Dovi easily rode his RC212V during the whole hour long session and grasped the second best time of the day with an advantage of 0.060s over Championship leader Jorge Lorenzo.
Fiat Yamaha Spaniard had to witness the Repsol Honda duo success from the third spot, in front of team mate Valentino Rossi, Colin Edwards and Ben Spies who form the second row of the provisional grid. Tomorrow’s qualifying will be a very important moment for the MotoGP challengers as they will battle it out to conquer the best positions of the Gran Premio Aperol di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini.

Nicolas Terol started the Gran Premio Aperol di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini in the best way ever, taking the first place in the time sheets of the free practice session which was disputed today at the Misano Adriatico circuit. The Bancaja Aspar rider’s best time of 1’44.229 was followed by Marc Marquez, Pol Espargaro and Efren Vazquez. This weekend the current Championship leader will have to pay attention as his advantage in the standings is based on only four points over Terol.
